So I am taking a quilting class at school and of course I had to buy my fabric. When I went I had no idea what to get cause I've never bought fabric for a quilt without mom. The lady at the fabric shack was very nice and very helpful. So this is what I ended up with. I think they are really pretty.
This is my first block. When I cut the fabric I wasn't sure I was gonna like how it looked but I love it. They all went together very well. I have to make 16 blocks all together for my quilt. She teaches us a new one everyday in class so I'll have another one on Thursday. I'm excited to see how my quilt turns out. :)

ooh - I love it. I think I want to do a log cabin pattern next. But I should probably branch out, no?
And I know EXACTLY what you mean about picking out fabric without Mom. You should have seen me at the fabric store. I even knew which set I wanted and I still stood in front of the rack for half an hour!
