Festival of Colors '11

This last weekend my roommates and I went to the Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork.  It was lots of fun and crazy.  There were tons of people there.  We went in the morning so there weren't as many as later in the afternoon.

 We were covered.  I think Ksusha got the worst of it.  She got it right in the eye a couple of times.

We went back on Sunday because we were gonna go to their service for one of my classes.  When we got there the whole hill was pink.  I wasn't able to get a picture but it was awesome.

They told us that when they have the festival it usually rains a day or two after and washes all the chalk off of the temple.  It was pretty cool.  The chalk got everywhere, even inside the temple and gift shop.

Prom 2011

This year Prom was at the end of my Spring Break this year so I got to go help with the flowers.  I was SUPER excited when I found out.  I've been looking forward to it for months.  We had lots of orders.  I think Karen said we had over 70 corsages and a bout. to match almost all of the them.  Plus we had the few bouts that didn't have a corsage to match so we had probably close to 150 orders to fill.  I did close to 20 pairs by myself.  So.............we were very busy.  I started a few Thursday night and then worked all day Friday and half of Saturday.  I worked 22 hours in just three days.  These ar just a few of my favorite................well there's still a lot but I had a hard time choosing. =)

 

 

 

 

 

This one we had a little bit of a hard time with the color cause we weren't sure what teal was exactly then I got lucky when I found a spray can that said teal on it.  That made me happy cause then I didn't have to guess anymore.

 I loved this one.

 This one is Daniel's.  We got in some Ranunculus for a wedding and there were a few left over, so..........I hid them in the cooler so then I could use them in Dan's and I usually do his last cause I know he's not gonna come in asking for it. =)

 I really like this one too.  The girls dress was lavender with a lime green under skirt.  You wouldn't really think that green roses were pretty but I kinda like them.

I'm in!!!

So after receiving my first letter from USU I looked through the mail today and there was another one.  I first thought that this one would be about scholarships, which I don't think I will qualify for. Boo. Anyway, I opened it and I've been admitted!!!  Yay!!!

Frustration

So for the last month I have been waiting for an acceptance letter from Utah State.  I've been looking ad looking but o such luck.  Finally a letter came Monday.  I was thinking hooray, it's here.  I'm in.  However, it was a letter to inform me that my application was incomplete due to the fact that my transcript from UVU, which I requested to be sent over a month ago, had not yet been received.  So I called UVU and found out that my transcript had just been sent that day.  I requested it to be sent the last week of January.  My card had been charged the first of February, and still it did not go out until this last Monday.  One more frustration about UVU to add to the list.
